Jumbo frame was applied extensively with the emergence of gigabit network.In order to obtain the transmission characteristics of jumbo frame,a jumbo frame network delay measurement algorithm based on frame size was proposed.The proposed algorithm amended parameters of timeout timer of the Jacobson algorithm and separated the round trip timeout sequences of different frame size rationally.Experimental results showed that the timer timeout algorithm based on frame size outperformed the Jacobson algorithm in timeout calculation which enhanced the adaptability to timeout jitter during measuring.
