Investigations on the A-site substitution degree of LaCo0.2Fe0.8O4 perovskite-type catalysts for catalytic combustion of methane have revealed a reduced crystalline size as a result of increased substitution degree,which also causes increased amount of crystal oxygen.Since the presence of certain amount of crystal oxygen is beneficial for the catalytic activity,while high temperature increases the crystalline size and reduces the amount of crystal oxygen,therefore a higher degree of A-site substitution enables the catalysts to keep high catalytic activity at high temperatures.
