The construction of bicubic Hermite rectangular element is given. It is proved that the bicubic Hermite rectangular element has the anisotropic interpolation property. Using the analytic method of the anisotropic element, error estimate of the narrow bicubic Hermite rectangular element for the fourth order problem is obtained. And some numerical results are given.
